Who we are
American Dream Bookkeepers provides monthly bookkeeping services to home services contractors in the United States. We are not a CPA firm and we do not provide tax, legal or investment advice. A licensed US CPA reviews and signs off on the books we produce.

The content on this site is general information about our services. It is not an offer of a specific engagement and it is not advice you should act on without talking to us about your own situation.
No pricing is published here because every engagement is scoped to the business. Pricing is discussed after the free month and the call.
The free first month
We will prepare your most recent complete month of books at no charge. There is no card required, no contract, and no automatic enrolment into a paid engagement.
The free month requires that you provide read-only access to the relevant financial accounts and respond to the questions we need answered to complete the work. If we cannot get access or cannot get the information, we cannot complete the month.
The work product from the free month is yours whether or not you continue with us.
The two-day guarantee
We will deliver your first month of books within two business days of receiving working read-only access to the accounts required to do the work.
If we miss that deadline, your next month of bookkeeping is provided free of charge. Not discounted — free.
We refer to this as the two-day guarantee. Precisely, it means two business days: the clock runs on working days and excludes weekends and public holidays.
The clock starts when access is working, not when you book the call. If we are waiting on information only you can provide, the time we spend waiting does not count against the two business days, and we will tell you clearly at the time when that happens.
Ongoing engagements
If you choose to continue after the free month, the scope, the deliverables and the fee are set out in a separate engagement agreement between us. That agreement governs the paid relationship; these terms govern this website and the free month.
Books are prepared on a cash basis by default. An accrual basis can be agreed where appropriate.
Your responsibilities
You remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the underlying records and for the information you give us. We prepare books from what we are given and what we can see in the accounts.
You are responsible for filing your own tax returns and for your own compliance obligations. We hand your CPA a clean set of books; we do not file on your behalf.
Confidentiality
We treat your financial information as confidential. We do not sell it and we do not share it other than as described in our privacy policy or as required by law.
Liability
We take responsibility for the quality of the bookkeeping work we perform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of the books beyond the direct consequences of an error we made in preparing them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the bottom of this page reflects the current version. Material changes to a live engagement are handled through the engagement agreement, not through this page.
